A useful fit for

A broad named-grain menu and compact closed body when exact quantity requirements are verified.

The main tradeoff

Manual forthcoming; no grain minimums or non-white maxima copied from EAC10.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I require dedicated Quinoa, Cake and a body under10inches wide?

Yes. Those programs are listed and the current width is9.875inches. Confirm the exact quinoa quantity separately.

Is half a supplied cup of quinoa confirmed?

The exact EJC10 quinoa range is not yet confirmed; a named program alone does not establish that load.

Can I require the broader manufacturer PFAS/BPA food-contact declaration?

That combined declaration is not confirmed for EJC10. Its published statement covers BPA-free food-contact areas.

The NL-EJC10 is a Japan-made flat-top Micom cooker with named long grain, Jasmine, quinoa and steel cut oatmeal programs. It is a candidate for someone who wants that menu in a white direct-heating appliance and does not need a supplied basket. Before buying for a very small grain load, confirm its exact minimums: the current US page supplies a white-rice maximum, but the manual is still listed as forthcoming.

The broad grain menu is the main attraction

The published selections are White, Quick White, Long Grain, Sushi, Brown, GABA Brown, Jasmine, Congee, Quinoa, Steel Cut Oatmeal and Cake. Quinoa and oats therefore have named programs rather than requiring the owner to remember a reused rice selection. This is useful when several grains recur through the week and you want an explicit starting point for each.

Congee and steel cut oatmeal are different foods with different ingredient and water requirements. A named Congee selection is not proof of a general short-grain porridge program or an oat quantity. Likewise, Cake needs its prescribed batter and loading instructions. Decide which of these routines you will actually use instead of choosing by the longest menu list.

Check the batch before relying on the headline

The current US store advertises up to 5.5 cups of raw short grain white rice using an approximately 180 mL supplied measure. That maximum is useful for comparing the overall size, but it does not establish the minimum White quantity or the allowed Brown, Quinoa and oatmeal ranges. Check those exact rows before buying when a particular small load is essential.

The similarly named EAC10 documents one-to-four-cup quinoa and one-to-2.5-cup steel cut oatmeal ranges. Those are useful alternatives with explicit quantities, but they should not be copied to the EJC10. A similar body, power rating and grain menu do not make two model instructions interchangeable.

If half a supplied cup of oats is your regular breakfast, the LGC05 or QAC10 offers a documented starting point. Do not purchase the EJC10 on an assumed half-cup minimum simply because it is the smaller EJC size. The amount cooked most often is usually more useful than reserve maximum capacity.

Flat-top body and food-contact statement

The EJC10 uses microcomputer control in the Micom line, rather than the pressure-and-induction system of the YNC or JEC series. Its inner pan has a double nonstick coating. The manufacturer states that surfaces contacting food or beverages are BPA-free. That statement should not be expanded into the separate TPC series' PFAS/BPA declaration or a claim that the pan is uncoated metal.

The current body is approximately 9.875 inches wide, 12.5 deep and 8.5 high, with a 663-watt US rating. Its compact closed depth can be useful on a modest worktop. Allow extra room to open the lid and lift the pan; a verified open-lid measurement is still needed for a tight overhead space. Do not borrow the EAC10's opening height solely because their closed dimensions match.

Serving features and cleaning access

Automatic and extended Keep Warm, reheating and two timer settings are listed. Use the selected grain's instructions for delaying and holding rather than treating every named program like plain white rice. GABA Brown is an additional preparation routine whose lead time should be checked before planning a meal around it.

The inner lid detaches for washing, and an integrated vent and self-cleaning function help manage residue and odors. The self-cleaning cycle supports normal care; it does not replace washing the pan and food-contact parts. Protect the double-coated surface with suitable utensils and gentle handling. The cord detaches for storage.

Choose the right configuration for the extra task

A measuring cup and self-standing rice spatula are supplied. A basket and Steam program are not part of the listed configuration. If vegetables above rice are a central meal requirement, compare an expressly supported basket method such as the AAC10. The EJC10's additional versatility is in grain selections and Cake.

Choose the EJC10 when Japan-made construction, the named grain menu and its closed footprint are priorities, after checking the exact quantity needed for your daily food. Choose the EAC10 when its documented ranges resolve a specific load requirement, or the QAC10 when induction and a tray matter together. The larger EJC18 raises the advertised white-rice maximum, but its grain minimums also need checking separately.
