Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can half a supplied cup of long-grain rice use clock-based completion?

Yes. The dedicated Long-grain range is0.5–5.5 supplied180mL dry cups and permits finish timing with at least fifty minutes of lead.

Can three cups use Exp. Limited Cups?

No. This model limits that method to0.5–2 supplied dry cups. Its larger Quick range is a separate method.

Does this family have a documented Cake program?

No. The exact fourteen-menu list does not include Cake. A recipe title containing cake does not establish that program.

The Tiger JPW-H10U is an induction cooker for a household whose rice quantities change with the meal. It can start ordinary white rice at half a supplied cup, cook a larger long-grain batch on its own menu, and prepare brown porridge on a separate scale. Its practical limits lie in the selected program, especially express cooking and brown-rice minimums.

Choose it for a varied rice routine

This is the US 120-volt, 5.5-cup member of the mauve-black JPW-H family. Tiger describes a thick inner pot with a far-infrared coating and induction heating. The manual identifies a fluorocarbon resin coating, so the product description should not be read as a declaration that every food-contact surface is PFAS-free or as an uncoated ceramic pot.

Its fourteen cooking choices include Plain, Premium, Eco, Quick, Exp. Limited Cups, Long-grain, Multigrain, Mixed, Sweet, Porridge, Brown Porridge, Brown, Brown GABA and Cook·Soup. Clean is a maintenance operation alongside those cooking choices. Select the menu for the ingredients; induction heating does not make their scales or maximum loads interchangeable.

Plain, Premium, Eco and Quick accept half to five and a half supplied dry cups. The dedicated Long-grain menu has the same range. Exp. Limited Cups instead stops at two. A three-cup white-rice dinner can therefore use Quick but cannot use the smaller express program. That distinction is more useful than treating every fast-cooking claim as the same feature.

Measure the dry amount, then choose the water scale

The supplied measure is 180 milliliters, with one cup of rice described as approximately 150 grams. These are dry-rice quantities, not a guarantee of finished servings or cooked US-cup yield. Follow the chosen menu's inner-pot line and use the supplied measure consistently.

Multigrain accepts half to four supplied cups of a prescribed mixture with white rice. Added grains are limited to twenty percent of the white-rice volume and are placed above it. That is not a dedicated pure-quinoa or steel-cut oatmeal program. The Cuckoo CR-0375F is a more relevant comparison when those two dedicated menus drive the purchase.

Ordinary Brown and Brown GABA accept one to three and a half cups. Brown with other ingredients has a lower two-cup maximum. A half-cup white-rice minimum therefore does not establish half-cup brown cooking. For rice porridge and brown porridge, the firm scale accepts half to one cup, while soft porridge is restricted to half a cup; adding ingredients to firm porridge also leaves only that half-cup amount.

Schedule the method you will actually cook

Two saved clock settings can schedule completion at familiar meal times. The manual gives minimum lead times for each eligible menu: Long-grain needs at least fifty minutes, Plain sixty-five, Premium seventy-five, Brown eighty-five, Brown Porridge 105, and Brown GABA four and a half hours. These are scheduling requirements, not interchangeable estimates for how quickly a late dinner will be ready.

Quick, Exp. Limited Cups, Mixed, Sweet and Cook·Soup cannot use the completion timer. The separate soak timer waits ten to sixty minutes before cooking begins and has the same listed menu exclusions. Select the finish timer when you want the meal completed at a clock time; select the soak timer when you want a defined waiting period before cooking.

The express reference is approximately eighteen to twenty-seven minutes, compared with twenty-one to thirty-six for Quick and forty-four to fifty-six for Plain. Tiger's reference assumes 120 volts and both room and water around 73.4°F. The shortest endpoint is not a promise for every quantity, rice or room.

Holding and reheating need a separate decision

Automatic Keep Warm is intended chiefly for white or rinse-free rice. The manual recommends serving other grain dishes and porridge promptly. Even a small amount of white rice needs care: one supplied cup or less is among the situations it warns can dry out during holding or reheating. A supported half-cup cooking minimum is most useful when you intend to eat that small batch.

Reheat brings rice already being held warm back to serving temperature. The keep-warm indicator must be on, and the function is unavailable below approximately 131°F. Do not plan it as a cold-leftover reheater. Porridge and Brown Porridge are excluded from reheating.

Fit and daily care

The listed body is approximately 10.3 inches wide, 14.1 inches deep and 7.9 inches high; fully opening the lid needs approximately 15.9 inches of height. That open-lid figure matters beneath a shelf, alongside room for steam and access to the controls.

Hand-wash the pot, inner lid and supplied utensils, then dry them. Wipe the sensors and casing and keep the air openings clear. The removable inner lid helps access, but its attached large gasket must not be pulled off. Clean's heated-water procedure adds odor care; it does not replace washing. Cook·Soup offers five-to-180-minute simmering in the same pot, rather than a supplied rice-and-steaming-tray system.

Choose the H10U for half-cup white or brown-porridge meals and modest brown batches. Choose the H18U when larger loads justify its higher brown minimum. Compare the JPW-G10U if a named Sushi or Cake setting is important; neither appears in the H10U's cooking list.
