Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can two supplied cups of pure quinoa use a dedicated menu with completion timing?
Yes. The exact three-cup manual permits0.5–2 supplied cups on Quinoa and includes that menu in the relative completion-timer instructions.
Explore this need in the finder →Can three supplied cups of white rice use Quick?
No. White Rice accepts up to three, but White Rice Quick stops at two supplied cups.
Explore this need in the finder →Does a half-cup white-rice meal support short grain and an interval until completion?
Yes. White Rice is explicitly short-grain, allows0.5–3 supplied cups, and permits the relative completion timer.
Explore this need in the finder →Can this exact cooker use the documented three-hour GABA Brown setting without requiring a finish timer?
Yes. Its exact U.S. manual documents a three-hour GABA setting. On this setting the manual says the finish preset is unavailable, so this is not a claim that three-hour GABA can be scheduled.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the three-hour GABA setting and finish timing both be essential?
No. The model-specific manual distinguishes zero-hour GABA (preset permitted) from three-hour germination (preset unavailable).
Explore this need in the finder →The Cuckoo CR-0375F makes sense when a small rice cooker also needs to handle quinoa and steel-cut oatmeal through their own menus. Its three-cup headline describes the maximum dry white-rice load. The more useful distinction is that ordinary white rice starts at half a supplied cup, while quick rice, quinoa and oatmeal stop below that headline maximum.
Choose it around your small-batch routine
This review covers the current US CR-0375FW in white and CR-0375FG in gray. Both finishes belong to Cuckoo's three-cup Micom family. This is a programmed, non-pressure cooker with a coated inner pot and top-mounted controls. You select the grain menu; fuzzy control does not remove that choice or make different grains interchangeable.
The exact CR-0375F manual permits half to three supplied cups on White Rice, which it identifies with short-grain white rice. Brown and Multi Grain each allow half to two and a half. White Rice Quick, Scorched Rice, Quinoa and Oatmeal each have a half-to-two-cup range in the menu table. That gives a single diner more usable options than a large cooker whose brown-rice minimum begins at two cups. It also means a three-cup dinner cannot simply be moved from White Rice to Quick.
Use the supplied dry measure and the appropriate pot scale. Cuckoo advertises six cups cooked, but finished volume depends on the rice, water and preparation. Treat that as a nominal yield description rather than six US measuring cups guaranteed from every menu. The official site's measuring-cup answer and the manual's recipe conversions are inconsistent, so replacing the supplied cup with an assumed kitchen measure is particularly unhelpful here.
Quinoa and breakfast are reasons to choose the smaller model
The manual explicitly describes the Quinoa menu for pure quinoa and the Oatmeal menu for pure steel-cut oats. These are meaningful differences from the larger CR-0675F, whose named menus instead include porridge and Baby Food. The larger cooker can prepare additional foods through Multi Cook, but that requires a recipe and time selection rather than the smaller model's dedicated grain route.
For oatmeal, the CR-0375F manual supplies separate water and milk recipes with different quantities and cooking times. Follow the appropriate recipe instead of using the white-rice water line. The adjustable oatmeal duration runs from five to fifty minutes. A preset option in the controls does not make every ingredient suitable for sitting in the cooker before breakfast; a recipe using milk deserves a preparation plan that avoids leaving it waiting.
Multi Grain is also the documented route for long rice or brown rice. Its water scale and reduced maximum matter more than the name printed on the front. If you need a specifically named long-grain program with finish timing and wider batch choices, compare the Tiger JPW-G10U.
A relative finish timer, with a separate brown-rice soak
The timer is set as an interval until completion, from one hour to twelve hours fifty minutes in ten-minute steps. It is not a clock on which you save “7:00 p.m.” White Rice, Multi Grain, Scorched Rice and Quinoa appear in the general timer instructions; White Rice Quick does not. A quick white-rice cycle and an unattended timed dinner are different choices.
The Brown menu offers a zero- or three-hour germination setting. To use the completion timer, the manual requires that setting to be zero. Consequently, the built-in three-hour brown-rice preparation cannot also be promised as a timed-finish workflow. Choose which behavior matters that day. The brown-rice chapter contains a stray four-person statement that conflicts with the three-cup model's own tables; it is not a reason to exceed the stated two-and-a-half-cup brown maximum.
Custom cooking adjusts the heating behavior for selected rice menus. This is useful for changing a repeat recipe gradually: first keep the grain, dry amount and water constant, then adjust one setting. It does not turn a small pot into a pressure cooker or extend a menu's capacity.
Allow room to open and clean it
The small body is attractive for a narrow counter, but published dimensions conflict. The current specification table gives a smaller footprint than the exact manual and the site's dimension artwork. Check the actual unit before buying around an exact shelf opening. Neither the closed height nor a compact-body photograph establishes lid-open clearance or safe steam clearance beneath a cabinet.
Daily care includes the coated pot, removable inner cover, steam-cap components, condensation areas and the surface around the temperature sensor. Use gentle cleaning materials and let the appliance cool before taking it apart. Auto Clean runs a water-and-steam cycle for the cooking chamber; it does not remove the need to wash food-contact parts or empty collected moisture. A steaming plate appears in a recipe, but the current supplied-accessory list contains the measuring cup and spatula rather than an included steaming basket.
Who should choose it?
Choose the CR-0375F for half-cup rice batches and a regular rotation of quinoa or steel-cut oatmeal. Choose the CR-0675F when white-rice loads above three supplied cups and distinct thick/thin porridge scales matter more. Consider the JPW-G10U for its dedicated long-grain method and clock-based scheduling. The Cuckoo's strongest fit is a small household willing to select the correct menu, respect each grain's limit and clean several removable parts after cooking.
