Tiger JAX-T10U rice cooker. Tiger Corporation
A useful fit for

Small ordinary rice loads and prescribed plate dinners, with eligible Plain timing and accessible inner-lid care.

The main tradeoff

Long-grain rice is routed to Quick without timer support; plate meals also cannot be timed.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I schedule a one-cup ordinary Plain white-rice batch without the plate?

Yes. Plain supports the finish timer when the plate is absent, with at least 70 minutes of lead time and the other manual limits.

Can its prescribed long-grain Quick method use the finish timer?

No. The exact manual directs long-grain rice to Quick, which does not support the timer.

Can I cook three cups of white rice beneath the tacook plate?

No. Three cups fits rice-only cooking but exceeds the two-cup combined maximum.

The Tiger JAX-T10U is a small tacook model whose useful additions are finish timing on its ordinary Plain program, a removable inner lid and a defined reheating routine for rice already being kept warm. Its one-cup ordinary-rice minimum suits smaller households. The main caution is that timer eligibility changes with the method: Quick long-grain rice and plate meals cannot use it.

One cup alone, or one to two cups with a side dish

The exact US manual gives ordinary white rice a one-to-5.5-cup range and brown rice a one-to-3.5-cup range. Use the supplied level cup, approximately 180mL. A white-rice cup is described as about 150g; that is a dry ingredient measure rather than cooked yield or a US measuring cup.

With the supplied tacook plate installed, the permitted rice amount narrows to one to two cups. A three-cup rice-only meal therefore fits this model, but adding the plate does not preserve that three-cup allowance. Compare the JAX-T18U when the actual combined dinner needs two to four supplied cups.

The smaller configuration is also the better JAX choice if ordinary one-cup batches are routine. The larger sibling's white and brown programs begin at two cups. Buying the larger pot for occasional guests gives up a documented small-batch option, even though both models share the same controls.

Plain and Quick have different timer rules

Timer 1 and Timer 2 save desired completion times. For rice without the plate, Plain supports the timer, provided the selected time gives at least one hour and ten minutes of lead. Brown, Porridge and Multigrain also support timing under their own minimum lead requirements.

The exact instructions direct long-grain white rice to Quick and state that Quick cannot use the timer. That makes scheduled long-grain rice a different requirement from ordinary Plain rice on this machine. The JBV-S10U has a different arrangement: its Quick program supports timing while Plain/Synchro-Cooking does not. Read the menu rule for the exact model instead of transferring it between two Tiger panels.

The JAX plate meal cannot use the timer either, even though Plain/Synchro-Cooking is the selected menu. The manual makes an explicit exception for concurrent rice and side dishes. A machine-level timer feature therefore cannot establish delayed preparation of every dinner its cookbook describes.

The porridge and grain menus have their own quantities

Hard porridge permits 0.5–1 supplied cup, while soft porridge is limited to 0.5 cup. That half-cup porridge method does not establish a half-cup ordinary white-rice batch. Choose the water scale and quantity together, and serve porridge promptly rather than treat the warm display as an invitation to hold it indefinitely.

Mixed and sweet rice have a one-to-three-cup range. The Multigrain table goes up to 5.5 cups, but the instructions describe grains together with white rice and limit the added grains to less than 20% of the white-rice volume. This is a prescribed mixture, not a promise for 5.5 cups of pure quinoa, oats or another dry ingredient.

For brown rice with additional ingredients, the maximum is three cups rather than the ordinary 3.5-cup ceiling. Measure the actual recipe before filling the pot. Adding ingredients inside the rice and placing a separate dish above it are different methods with different limits.

The plate is for the prescribed dishes

Use the supplied cookbook's quantities and spread food as instructed so steam can reach it. Do not heap extra ingredients into the plate simply because the lid closes. Foods that expand or release substantial liquid can affect the rice below, so keep sauces and loading within the specific guidance.

Remove the hot plate level when the cycle finishes, serve its food and loosen the rice. Do not leave it inside for Keep Warm or return it after removal. The plate helps prepare a meal together; the holding arrangement afterward is for suitable plain rice without the plate.

Removable parts make care more accessible

The inner lid removes for cleaning, with its gasket reattached as described in the manual. The steam cap also comes apart according to the illustrated procedure. This gives access to parts that need washing after rice and side-dish cooking, but all parts are hand-wash parts. Protect the fluorocarbon-coated pot with a soft sponge and let everything cool before cleaning.

Reheat is intended for rice already being kept warm. It requires the Keep Warm state and will not run when the rice is too cold under the manual's threshold. Follow its quantity and water guidance rather than treat this button as a general routine for cold leftovers.

The manual lists a closed body approximately 10.1 inches wide, 13.7 deep and 8.2 high. Allow lid-opening, steam and plate-handling clearance. Choose JAX-T10U for one-cup ordinary rice, small prescribed plate meals and its particular Plain-timer and removable-lid routine. Choose JAX-T18U for larger combined meals, or JBV-S10U when the documented long-grain Quick timer is the more relevant feature.
