Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can six supplied cups of ordinary white rice use High-Pressure White Rice with a finish timer?
Positive exact-plan case: the exact manual capacity table permits 1–6 supplied cups for High-Pressure White Rice; its timer exceptions name three-hour GABA, high-pressure Quick White and Quick Sticky Multi Grain, not the standard white method. The 180 ml supplied measure is not a U.S. measuring cup.
Explore this need in the finder →Can four supplied cups use the High-Pressure Quick White method?
Positive boundary case: the exact table lists 1–4 cups for High-Pressure Quick White. The manual warns that the quick method can affect quality and has no preset finish; this case does not require a timer.
Explore this need in the finder →Can five supplied cups use High-Pressure Quick White?
Negative essential batch case: quick white is listed at 1–4 cups even though standard High-Pressure White reaches six. The headline capacity cannot override the selected menu ceiling.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the exact three-hour GABA Brown plan use a two-cup batch without requiring a finish preset?
Positive exact-plan case: the manual names Sticky Brown Rice (3H), defines it as germinated brown rice and lists the brown/GABA capacity as 1–4 cups. This fixture intentionally does not require a preset finish.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the three-hour GABA Brown method and an exact finish timer both be essential?
Negative timing combination: the exact manual expressly excludes GABA Rice (3H) from preset cooking. GABA (0H) is a separate documented method and is not substituted for the requested three-hour plan.
Explore this need in the finder →Can controlled Open Cooking be required while the selected standard white plan uses high pressure?
Negative mode combination: Open Cooking is documented only during a non-pressure menu process. High-pressure white is not a matching operating plan, regardless of the model-level presence of the feature.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a two-cup non-pressure white plan use the exact manual’s controlled Open Cooking procedure?
Positive exact-plan case: the manual describes Open Cooking during non-pressure menu cooking; wait for the smart lock and indicator, and close within three minutes. This is not permission to open a pressure cycle.
Explore this need in the finder →Can two supplied cups use the separate Steel-Cut Oats menu?
Positive quantity boundary: the exact manual lists dedicated Steel Cut Oats under Non Pressure and permits 1–2 supplied cups.
Explore this need in the finder →Can three supplied cups use the dedicated Steel-Cut Oats menu?
Negative quantity case: the exact manual limits Steel Cut Oats to 1–2 cups. The six-cup cooker headline is not this menu’s capacity.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the exact U.S. package be required to include an uncoated stainless cooking pot?
Negative unknown-essential package requirement: the exact U.S. product page says the Xwall Black Shine nonstick pot is included and the compatible three-ply stainless pot is sold separately; the exact manual’s general accessory list also names an ALL STS pot. Because those package statements conflict, inclusion is unknown and cannot satisfy the essential requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →The Cuckoo CRP-PHTR0609FS is a six-cup induction cooker with separate high-pressure and non-pressure modes. Its useful distinction is not simply the size on the product page: white rice, quick rice, multigrain, GABA, oats and porridge have different documented limits, and some quick or germinated-brown programs cannot use the finish timer.
Two pressure choices change the kind of rice plan
The product page calls this an IH Twin Pressure model. In the manual, the handle chooses High Pressure or Non Pressure, and the cooker then offers only the menus for that mode. High Pressure is the route for its standard and quick white-rice menus, sticky multigrain, brown/GABA and Multi-Cook. Non Pressure provides a softer white-rice option, quinoa, frozen-rice preparation, steel-cut oats and porridge. The maker describes high pressure as the chewier, stickier choice and non-pressure white as softer and fluffier. That gives a household some texture choice without requiring two appliances, but the knob and menu sequence are part of the routine rather than an automatic setting to ignore.
Open Cooking is useful only on the non-pressure side. The exact manual describes a controlled release of the smart lock; wait for the cooker to say it is safe and show the ingredient indicator before opening. Close the lid within three minutes or the cooking cycle cancels. The pot is not heated while the lid is open. This is not permission to open a pressure cycle, and it is not the same as a separate Steam menu.
Six cups applies to one of the menus, not every meal
Cuckoo's headline capacity is six supplied rice cups uncooked, with a nominal twelve-cup cooked yield. The manual defines its supplied measure as 180 ml of water or 150 g of rice; do not replace that with a full U.S. measuring cup. Its exact table allows one to six supplied cups for High-Pressure White Rice. The quick white, sticky multigrain, quick multigrain, brown/GABA, non-pressure white, quinoa and frozen-rice menus are listed at one to four cups. Steel-cut oats are one to two, thick porridge one to one-and-a-half, and thin porridge one-half to one cup. A six-cup household that mostly cooks plain white rice may use the maximum; if the same household usually makes brown rice or quick rice, its practical ceiling is four. The manual says the quick multigrain mode is best below four cups even though its capacity table lists up to four.
There is a meaningful timing exception. The finish timer advances in ten-minute steps and is limited to thirteen hours, but the manual excludes three-hour GABA, High-Pressure Quick White and Quick Sticky Multi Grain from preset cooking. The three-hour brown setting is for germinated brown rice; the zero-hour brown setting is a separate method. If you want a preset finish, do not assume that the three-hour program will accept it. Reheat Timer is another operation, not the cooking preset: Cuckoo says to allow about 100 minutes, limit reheating to roughly half the pot or three people, and fully thaw frozen rice first. The manual also says small preset batches can finish earlier than the chosen time.
Pot surface and care need exact wording
The product page says the cooker includes an Xwall Black Shine nonstick pot and that its premium three-ply stainless-steel pot is sold separately. Stainless steel in a product description is not proof of a bare stainless cooking surface. There is a packaging ambiguity worth resolving before purchase: the exact manual's generic accessory list includes an “ALL STS Inner Pot,” while the current exact product listing says the stainless pot is sold separately and names the nonstick pot as included. For a requirement that an uncoated steel pot arrive in the box, I would not count this package as a confirmed fit until Cuckoo clarifies what is included. The product page does establish compatibility with its optional steel pot.
The removable cover, pressure-weight nozzle, soft-steam cap and valve components mean cleanup extends beyond the pan. The manual describes a steam-clean cycle, but also instructs owners to clean removable parts and clear the pressure nozzle using the supplied pin. For the coated included pot, it advises a soft cloth or sponge and warns against sharp cutlery and abrasive scrubbers. The manual says the Keep Warm function is best used with white rice because other foods discolor more easily; after preset rice cooking, a longer wait can also increase browning. The included steam plate is a separate accessory, not evidence of an approved rice-and-steam meal in the same cycle.
Who should shortlist it?
The exact U.S. listing gives a footprint of about 14.8 inches long by 11 inches wide by 10.6 inches high, 15.21 pounds, 120V/60Hz, 1,090 watts cooking power and a one-year limited warranty. The maker markets its Silent Pressure system for quieter steam; I found no independent sound measurement, and the manual still covers pressure and steam release. Measure your counter and upper-cabinet clearance rather than assuming a six-cup body is compact.
Shortlist the CRP-PHTR0609FS if you will use the separate pressure modes, routinely cook batches within the menu-specific ranges, or value its non-pressure menus and controlled ingredient opening. A simpler six-cup pressure cooker may be a better fit if you do not need induction or non-pressure cooking. If your essential plan is a timed three-hour GABA batch, more than four cups of brown rice, a dedicated Steam menu, an included bare-steel pot, or simultaneous steaming beneath rice, this model is not a confirmed match. These are source-based instructions and tradeoffs, not hands-on cooking tests or a promise about current retail availability.
