A useful fit for

A household that regularly cooks at least two supplied cups, may use larger White Rice batches, and wants separate grain/meal menus and a finish-time preset without pressure cooking.

The main tradeoff

The manual narrows each mode below the headline capacity; Turbo cannot be scheduled, nonzero GABA settings cannot use the preset, and long reservations or holding can reduce quality. The manual page lists a steam plate while the U.S. package list does not, so verify it in the exact offer. The U.S. product page showed the model out of stock when checked.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the regular White Rice mode handle four supplied cups and a scheduled finish?

Yes. The exact manual lists regular White Rice at 2–10 supplied cups and explains setting a completion time. The finish time can vary with amount and conditions; the manual discourages long reservations.

Does the 10-cup headline mean nine supplied cups of brown rice are a documented fit?

No. The manual distinguishes Mixed Rice at up to eight supplied cups from GABA/Brown Rice at up to six. Nine cups of brown rice is not confirmed for either documented brown-containing route.

Can Turbo White Rice be both a six-cup batch and a scheduled finish?

No. The manual lists Turbo at 2–6 supplied cups but explicitly says Turbo does not support the preset reservation function. Choose regular White if scheduled finishing is essential.

The CUCKOO CR-1020F is a large, non-pressure Micom cooker for households that want a ten-supplied-cup white-rice ceiling and several separate grain and meal programs. Its main choice is not simply whether you want “more modes”; it is whether your usual batch is large enough to make a 20-cup-cooked-capacity body worthwhile. The manufacturer’s U.S. listing showed the model out of stock when checked on October 25, 2026, so treat any later retailer availability as a separate question.

Size the batch by the menu, not the headline

CUCKOO lists the CR-1020F at 10 cups uncooked or 20 cups cooked, with a 14.9-by-11-by-10.1-inch body and a 10-pound weight. The exact manual has a mode-by-mode table: White Rice runs from 2 to 10 supplied cups; Turbo White Rice from 2 to 6; Mixed Rice from 2 to 8; GABA/Brown Rice from 2 to 6; scorched rice from 2 to 4; thick porridge from 1 to 2; and thin porridge from one-half to one-and-a-half. These are the maker’s cooker-cup quantities, not a promise that every program handles the full ten-cup maximum. The U.S. product page does not state the measuring cup’s milliliter volume, so do not substitute a standard kitchen cup when planning a batch.

That distinction is especially useful for a household that cooks brown rice or porridge. The GABA/Brown route stops at six supplied cups, while the maker’s Mixed Rice method has its own eight-cup ceiling. If you need nine or ten cups of brown rice, the documented limits do not confirm a fit. White rice has the widest range, but even there the manual sets a two-cup minimum, which makes this a poor match for frequent one-cup servings.

Quick cooking is faster, but not schedulable

The manual gives White Rice an approximate 39-to-60-minute range and Turbo White Rice about 31 to 41 minutes; actual times vary with the amount and cooking conditions. It also says to soak rice for about 20 minutes before Turbo if you want a better result. A practical tradeoff is that the Turbo method cannot use the preset timer. The timer selects a completion time, and the manual warns that long reservations or dry, older rice may produce uneven or firm results. If a finish-time routine matters, use the regular White method rather than assuming that the faster setting inherits the timer.

GABA rice also needs attention to the exact program. The manual’s sprouting setting offers zero-, two-, four-, or six-hour choices; it says that only the zero-hour setting can be scheduled. So a buyer who wants the cooker to handle both the wait and the finish should not count on a delayed start for the longer sprouting options. The brown-rice capability is real, but its batch and timing limits are narrower than the overall capacity suggests.

More cooking jobs bring more cleanup

Besides rice, the U.S. page lists soup, soymilk, yogurt, baby food, slow cook, Steam Cook, Multi-Cook, Auto-Clean, Reheat, and Keep Warm. Multi-Cook is the most adjustable: the model-titled manual describes setting temperature from 35–130°C in one-degree steps and time up to 90 minutes in ten-minute steps. That flexibility can help with a specific recipe, but it is not a replacement for a dedicated appliance with a known recipe profile. The unit is non-pressure; choose another class of cooker if pressure-assisted cooking is essential.

The manual recommends mixing the rice after cooking and keeping warm for no more than about 12 hours. It warns that mixed grains hold less well than white rice, and repeated reheating can dry or discolor rice. Auto-Clean is a short maintenance cycle rather than a substitute for washing food-contact parts: the instructions call for water to the two-cup White mark, then roughly 25 minutes, and separately emphasize cleaning the detachable inner cover, steam cap, and water tray. The maker’s U.S. package list names a manual, rice spatula, and measuring cup; its model-titled manual lists a steam plate. Because those lists differ, verify the tray in the exact box rather than assuming it is included.

Who should shortlist it?

Consider the CR-1020F if you routinely cook four or more supplied cups, want ordinary White Rice plus defined GABA, mixed-rice and porridge programs, and have counter space for a large heating-plate cooker. Its non-pressure design, preset finish control, removable inner lid, and dedicated Auto-Clean mode are useful for a recurring rice routine. The white finish is the one shown in the manufacturer gallery.

Skip it if your usual serving is one cup, if a compact footprint matters, if you need pressure cooking, or if your essential batch exceeds a program’s own table. The smaller CUCKOO CR-0605F is a more sensible comparison for a two-to-six-cup white-rice routine; its six-cup headline and twelve-cup cooked yield still need to be checked against its separate menu limits. For a pressure requirement, compare a reviewed pressure model such as the CUCKOO CRP-JHR1009F instead. Read the current offer carefully: a model name alone does not establish the exact package, stock status, or included steaming equipment.
