A useful fit for

Best for a household that regularly makes two to six supplied cups of white rice and will use at least one of its separately programmed Steam, Baby Food or Multi Cook routines.

The main tradeoff

Not every menu accepts six cups: Brown/GABA is limited to two to four and porridge to one to one-and-a-half. Turbo cannot use the preset timer, the Steam plate is not listed among package contents, and the exact page/manual disagree about whether the cooker is pressure-operated.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does this exact CR-0655F have a separate Baby Food menu?

Yes. Its manual provides a timed Baby Food menu, separate from rice cooking and Steam; this is not an assurance that a recipe is suitable for every child.

Can the six-cup white-rice method and finish timer coexist?

Yes. The manual permits six supplied cups on Glutinous/White rice and lists preset finish timing for that menu; the 2–6 limit is not a claim about Turbo, GABA, Brown or porridge.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can a six-hour GABA setting be combined with a finish timer?

The manual says to use the zero-hour GABA setting when scheduling a finish and warns that 2-, 4- or 6-hour GABA may not preset. This assessment does not promise that six-hour GABA can be scheduled.

The Cuckoo CR-0655F is a six-cup Micom cooker for households that want more than a plain-rice switch: its exact manual lists separate Steam, Baby Food and Multi Cook menus, alongside white rice, brown rice, GABA and porridge. The useful choice is not simply “six cups.” The minimum and maximum quantities change by menu, and the quick Turbo method gives up the finish timer.

Six cups applies to the white-rice menu

Cuckoo's U.S. specification calls the CR-0655F a six-cup-uncooked, twelve-cup-cooked cooker. Its English manual translates that headline into different menu limits: Glutinous/White takes two to six supplied cups, Mixed/Brown and GABA take two to four, and porridge is listed at one to one-and-a-half. These numbers refer to the included rice measure and the markings in the inner pot, not ordinary kitchen cups or a guaranteed cooked volume. If your usual meal is one cup of dry white rice, the listed white minimum is still two. If you want six cups of brown or GABA, the machine's six-cup label does not support that plan.

The manual maps long rice to its Mixed/Brown menu, with a two-to-four-cup range. That is a different plan from the six-cup Glutinous/White setting. It also gives broad cook-time ranges rather than a fixed promise: roughly 35–53 minutes for regular white rice, 32–44 for Turbo, 55–68 for Mixed/Brown, and 83–91 for GABA. Actual time can vary with operating conditions.

Turbo is quicker, but cannot be scheduled

Turbo is a second white-rice cooking method selected through the Cook/Turbo button. The manual gives a shorter range and specifically says its preset function is unavailable. The clock-based timer is a separate strength for other documented schedules: the cooker has a built-in clock, and the manual explains how to set a desired completion time within a one-to-thirteen-hour window. The CR-0655F therefore fits a planned dinner when regular white, Mixed/Brown, or the manual's zero-hour GABA preset method matches your batch. It is not a fit for someone who needs the fast Turbo cycle to start later and finish on a schedule.

GABA has a real preparation interval and a scheduling caveat

The GABA menu is for germinated brown rice, not a separate grain capacity. The manual allows two to four supplied cups and selectable intervals of zero, two, four or six hours. To schedule the finish, it instructs the user to set GABA to zero hours before entering the timer; it says the two-, four- and six-hour settings may not permit preset timing. I treat only the zero-hour plan as timer-supported. Longer intervals remain available for a start-now routine, not a promise that the rice will be ready at a set time. The manual also warns that long warm holding can affect brown rice, and recommends keeping rice warm for less than twelve hours overall.

Steam, Baby Food and Multi Cook are separate menus

The Steam menu accepts a manually selected ten-to-sixty-minute duration in five-minute steps. The manual gives examples for dumplings and potatoes and directs the cook to place a steam plate over water in the inner pot. But Cuckoo's exact-model package list names a manual, rice spatula and measuring cup; it does not list a steam plate. Do not assume the tray is included just because Steam appears on the panel. Confirm the box contents if that accessory is essential. The instructions describe a steam-only setup, not rice cooking under a tray at the same time.

Baby Food is another timed menu, adjustable from ten to fifty minutes in five-minute steps, and the manual provides sample recipes. That makes it a distinct option for a household that will use its timed cooking workflow; it is not medical, nutrition or child-safety evidence. Multi Cook is different again: the duration can be set from one to ten hours, changing by ten minutes with the minute control or one hour with the hour control. The manual's examples include soup, porridge and tea. It is a flexible long-duration menu, not a short quick-rice setting.

Counter space, cleanup and an important source mismatch

The product page lists a white-and-red finish, a nonstick inner pot, removable inner lid, drain tray, 120V/60Hz supply, 580W cooking and 80W warming. Listed dimensions are about 13 by 9.4 by 8.7 inches and weight is seven pounds. Leave room above it for the lid and steam, and expect hands-on cleaning: Cuckoo says to remove, wash and dry the pot and detachable cover with a soft cloth or sponge, avoid abrasive scrubbers, and empty the drain dish. Its manual cautions against warming rice for long periods; Auto Clean is a steam-cleaning routine, not a dishwasher-safe claim.

There is one important fact I would not smooth over: the exact U.S. product specification labels the model “Non-Pressure,” while the linked CR-0655F manual says in its safety section that the appliance cooks under pressure. I have left pressure capability unresolved instead of treating one statement as if the other did not exist. If you require either a pressure or non-pressure system, confirm this exact model with Cuckoo before buying; it should not pass either strict matcher choice on the evidence checked here.

Who should consider it?

Choose the CR-0655F when two-to-six cups of white rice is your normal range and you will actually use its separate timed menus. Its main distinction from the nearby Cuckoo CR-063F models is the mix: the CR-0631F also lists Steam, while the CR-0632F/CR-0633F use Multi Cook rather than Steam; the CR-0655F has both, plus Baby Food. If an included steam tray, simultaneous rice steaming, a pressure classification, or a scheduled Turbo cycle is essential, this product page and manual do not establish that combination. Compare the exact alternatives before choosing on menu count alone.
