Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the CR-0631F make its six-supplied-cup white-rice batch?
Yes. The exact manual gives Glutinous/White 2–6 supplied cups; this does not imply that Turbo or GABA accepts six.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the exact CR-0631F provide a separate Steam menu?
Yes. Its exact manual lists Steam and explains a 10–60 minute setting; this does not establish an included tray or simultaneous rice steaming.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a six-hour GABA setting be combined with finish timing?
No. The manual warns that four-, five- or six-hour GABA may not preset; the matching plan does not promise that combination.
Explore this need in the finder →The Cuckoo CR-0631F is a six-cup Micom cooker whose distinguishing menu is Steam. Its manual gives a two-cup minimum for the ordinary Glutinous/White program, up to four cups for quick rice, GABA and Mixed/Brown, and only one to one-and-a-half cups for porridge. This is a better fit for planned family batches than for frequent single servings.
Do not apply the six-cup headline to every menu
Cuckoo advertises six uncooked cups and a nominal twelve cooked cups, but the exact CR-0631F manual breaks the working quantities out by program. Glutinous rice is listed at two to six supplied cups; Turbo is two to four; GABA and Mixed/Brown are two to four; and Porridge is one to one-and-a-half. One full supplied cup is treated as one serving in the manual. Use the included rice measure and the water line for the chosen menu, rather than substituting an eight-ounce kitchen cup or interpreting cooked yield as the dry loading limit.
There is a source conflict worth preserving for GABA: the specifications and the before-use water-level directions both limit GABA to four cups, while a later GABA paragraph says the program is allowed up to six persons. Until Cuckoo reconciles those statements for this exact model, a four-cup maximum is the defensible buying and matching limit. The main six-cup capacity is not evidence that every specialized menu accepts six.
Steam is the reason to choose this model over its close siblings
The CR-0631F manual provides a separate Steam menu, adjustable from ten to sixty minutes in five-minute steps. It also describes how to preset that function. That is materially different from the current CR-0632F and CR-0633F manuals, whose menu lists include Multi Cook in place of Steam. Choose the 0631F if a named Steam mode is part of your own routine; choose a 0632F or 0633F if the separately timed Multi Cook menu is more useful.
A named Steam menu is not the same thing as a supplied steaming basket, and the CR-0631F accessory list names a rice measuring cup and spatula but no tray. It also does not document a combined plan for cooking rice under food in a tray. Do not buy it on the assumption that vegetables can ride above rice in the same cycle. The manual warns that cooking rice after a steamed dish can leave an odor, so clean the removable inner cover and steam-related parts before returning to rice.
Turbo is a limited white-rice shortcut
The manual places Turbo at two to four cups and lists a variable cooking time of about thirty-three to forty-one minutes. Cuckoo’s current product page advertises white rice in under thirty-five minutes, but the manual’s broader range is a useful reminder that this is not a guaranteed dinner deadline. Turbo is also not a six-cup shortcut or a universal fast mode for GABA, brown rice or porridge. Keep a regular Glutinous/White program available when batch size matters more than speed.
GABA timing needs a deliberate compromise
The exact manual lets the GABA setting use zero, two, four or six hours of germination time. It cautions that a preset may not be possible at four, five or six hours; the zero-hour setting is the clearly documented route when scheduling matters. In practical terms, a household that requires both a GABA method and a reliable finish time should not assume that the longest GABA setting can be scheduled. The cooker has a built-in clock and a preset cooking-time function that must be set correctly, including AM or PM, and is limited to thirteen hours. GABA is a menu choice, not proof of a health outcome.
Counter space, care and alternatives
The US product specification lists a 120-volt, 580-watt cook rating, a nonstick inner pot, removable inner lid, 10.8-pound weight and a closed footprint around 12.5 by 9.3 by 8.4 inches. It lists White and Pink color choices. There is automatic Keep Warm and Reheat, plus My Mode for adjusting rice texture; that should not be confused with a sensor-feedback “My Rice” feature. The maker lists a one-year limited warranty. No maker PFAS/BPA-free food-contact statement was located in the checked model material, and no open-lid height or dishwasher-safe part claim is confirmed here.
For an all-white/silver-control-panel finish with Multi Cook rather than Steam, compare the CR-0632F and CR-0633F. If the usual meal is below two cups of plain rice, compare a smaller cooker instead. The CR-0631F’s useful case is the overlap of a four-to-six-cup white-rice habit and an occasional, separately run Steam menu—not simply the largest capacity number on its product page.
