Clean beyond the rice pan

Cleaning includes the route above the rice

A rice cooker’s pan is obvious, but steam also carries moisture and residue toward the lid, cap and condensation areas. Read the parts diagram and identify which components your exact model permits you to remove. A washable inner lid is not permission to immerse the cooker body.

After the appliance cools and is unplugged as directed, remove the pan and approved accessories. Use the cleaning method specified for its coating. A ceramic-coated Aroma pot and a nonstick Zojirushi pan should each follow their own instructions; a general internet cleaning recipe does not establish compatibility.

Protect the pan and heater contact

Use utensils suitable for the pan surface and avoid harsh scouring that the manufacturer prohibits. Do not move the inner pan onto a stovetop. Before replacing it, dry its exterior and remove grain or residue from the heater contact area according to the instructions.

Damage that changes the pan’s fit or coating is a reason to inspect the replacement-part guidance. The same nominal cup capacity does not make two pans interchangeable. The NP-GBC05’s induction pan in particular is part of its exact heating configuration, rather than a generic bowl chosen by diameter.

Check collectors, caps and lids

The current ARC-914SBD instructions describe washing the removable inner lid and condensation collector as well as the pot and accessories. The compact hinged Zojirushi models have their own detachable lid and steam-component procedures. Refit parts in the prescribed orientation and keep seals in place unless removal is explicitly instructed.

For a removable glass-lid cooker such as the NHS-06, make room to wash and dry the lid without handling it while hot. Simpler controls do not remove the need to keep food-contact surfaces and the steam opening clean.

Store a dry, complete appliance

Let cleaned parts dry before storage, keep the measuring cup and spatula with the cooker and retain its exact model code for parts. A retractable or detachable cord can make storage easier, but follow its handling instructions. If an odor or malfunction persists after normal care, use the manufacturer’s troubleshooting and support route rather than dismantling the electrical body.
