Grain fit

Choose capacity for brown rice

Use the brown range, including its lower end

Brown rice retains its bran and needs its own cooking method. A white-rice capacity is therefore not a reliable brown-rice capacity. For short or medium grain brown rice, the compact LGC05, LHC05, BAC05 and GBC05 document half to two supplied cups. The TSC10A documents one to four; the TSC18A documents two to eight.

That makes the everyday amount a direct size decision. Half a cup excludes the TSC-A family’s ordinary brown ranges. Six cups requires the TSC18A among these configurations. Four cups fits the TSC10A, TSC18A and Aroma ARC-914SBD, while their different minimums and footprints can still matter.

Do not transfer the range to a different rice variety

The Zojirushi brown limits cited here identify short and medium grain brown rice. A long grain white program does not establish instructions for long grain brown rice. Read the rice package and the cooker’s exact guidance, especially for parboiled, quick-cooking, sprouted or mixed products.

Likewise, a mixture of white and brown rice is not automatically the same as the pure brown program. Follow a documented method for the particular mixture. Adding ingredients also changes the available headroom and can restrict delay-timer use.

GABA Brown is a time decision

Selected compact models offer GABA Brown in addition to ordinary Brown. It adds a preparation stage before cooking, so plan for the longer routine. The TSC-A models provide a larger brown capacity without listing that extra program. A buyer can reasonably prefer either combination depending on batch and schedule.

We do not make health promises about a named program. Its useful buying meaning is a documented preparation option. The GBC05 combines that option with induction heating, but its brown maximum remains two supplied cups. Technology does not increase a model’s stated grain range. Enter your brown-rice batch before adding optional heating preferences.
